Why We Exist

The organizations that serve the public — municipal governments, water authorities, housing agencies, transit districts, regional planning commissions, public universities — deserve the same quality of digital services that commercial enterprises receive. Too often, they do not get it.

Atypical Global, Inc. was founded in October 2023 in Delaware specifically to close that gap. We bring enterprise digital marketing capability, CMS expertise, and multicultural communications strategy to public-sector clients who have real constituents with real needs.

The organizations we serve have been through enough: legacy websites that embarrass their teams, digital marketing vendors who don't understand procurement compliance, and communications strategies that never reach the communities they are supposed to serve. We are built to do better than that.

Our bilingual EN/ES capability is not a checkbox. It is a core operating principle. When a water district in Texas or a housing authority in Georgia serves a community where Spanish is spoken at home, the digital experience should reflect that reality.

Tejune Kang founded Atypical Global to apply enterprise digital marketing expertise to a sector that has consistently been underserved: the public agencies, nonprofits, and universities that shape everyday life for millions of Americans.

Tejune's background spans digital marketing strategy, enterprise technology, and organizational leadership. His education includes an undergraduate degree from UC Davis and completion of the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard Business School (OPM50, November 2017).

His leadership experience includes work with government entities, transit authorities, higher-education institutions, and large nonprofits — engagements where stakeholder complexity, procurement compliance, and multilingual constituency needs are the norm rather than the exception.

The founding of Atypical Global in 2023 reflects a deliberate choice: to build an organization specifically structured for public-sector clients, rather than adapting a commercial agency model that was never designed with them in mind.

We build organizations to own their digital platforms. Every project ends with documented systems and trained staff who do not need to call us to update their own website.
